Updating the interface for Radio 2.0

This is a continuation of designing a new podcast application. You can read Part 1 here and Part 2 here and Part 3 here. The post goes over improvements based on feedback received from potential users and their responses to the system usability scale. Users raw responses utilizing the system usability scale can be accessed here. These responses were recorded during an in class design studio session

Some of the specifics changes recommended by users were the following. Some users felt the home screen to be too crowded and felt it would be better to remove some UI elements such as the play buttons shown next to each episode. Users felt like with their experience using applications they already expect the episode to start playing when its clicked. Another point of feedback I received was regarding having the option to download episodes or stream them. I had planned to have this option available in the settings screen which was not done at the time. Some of the other changes were regarding making certain intractable options more salient. This included the recommended stars and the more info button shown on the podcast art in the now playing screen. All these changes have been made and the updated UI is available here.
